Based on its ultra-small laser optical engine technology, SK Telecom launched the company under separate law through Stargate, a prospective in-house technology commercialization program.
SK Telecom's own laser optical engine technology uses laser light sources to project digital images or images into light. Based on this, the company aims to secure technologies for three-dimensional hologram optical engines.
Laser light sources are the best source of light produced by man. BRYTN Corporation's optical engine is the world's only ultra-safe optical engine with a brightness of more than 100 lumen and a focu-free function that allows the device to automatically focus on when it moves. Especially, the existing technology of laser optical engine of BRYTN Corporation is essential for producing 3D hologram systems. The hologram industry is expected to grow from 15.6 trillion won in 2015 to an annual 6.8 percent annual rate of 89 trillion won in 2025 worldwide.
SK Telecom plans to transfer its ultra-small laser optical assets to BRYTN Corporation, and based on this, BRYTN Corporation plans to push for its optical engine module business in domestic and foreign markets. It is planning to start supplying its products to the U.S. and Chinese markets this year.
It is expected that ultra-small laser optical technology will be applied to a variety of areas such as a head up display for vehicles, hologram, AI (Artificial Intelligence) speakers, 3D hologram, and AR (Augmented Reality) glass.
BRYTN Corporation has succeeded in attracting investment from Alpha Holdings Co., which is actively engaged in systems semiconductor design and technology investment. BRYTN Corporation has been planning to launch an initial public offering or a merger through 2023.
